Leanrecipes.com aims to be the go-to-resource for finding healthy recipes online. To achieve that goal however, we need time and a lot of resources. I’m talking about financial resources which we don’t have. No we are not asking for any donation nor we are looking for investors. We are proudly bootstrapping Lean Recipes.
In a nutshell here is Lean Recipes’ roadmap:
Phase I (2017)
After writing all those reviews we will build a database of produce, types of diet, nutrients, minerals, vitamins, superfoods, medical conditions requiring a specific diet and food allergies in preparation for curating recipes.
Phase II (2018)
After hitting our first financial goal and investing on food photography equipment we will start publishing recipes. This year will be all about juice recipes, smoothie recipes, crackpot recipes, air fryer recipes, and soup recipes. With these alone I think we can curate more than a thousand recipes, and that is a lot of work.
We’re also thinking of launching a free juicing and smoothie recipe app at this point.
Phase III (2019-2020)
At this phase we will expand to more than just juicers, blenders, air fryers, soup makers and slow cookers. We will be reviewing everything that you can find in the kitchen. From eating utensils to small kitchen appliances like toasters and blenders up to the major ones like ovens and refrigerators. Along with that we will extend our recipe section to paleo, vegan, vegetarian and other diets which aren’t fad.
For two years we will be all about getting enough funding for the massive redesign. Exploring advertising revenue will also be a priority during this phase.
Phase IV (2021)
Phase IV is all about formalizing the business. We plan to build the website as a web app where you can create an account, submit recipes, save recipes and create meal plans along with a companion app. You can access the recipes either thru the Android or iOS app or thru the website itself. Something like allrecipes.com and yummly.com but for healthy recipes. We don’t plan to sell anything to you, we’ll just stick with advertising and affiliate marketing to keep everything simple.
After that, it’s all about scaling and optimization.
Now that you know where we are heading to, please excuse us if the site seems incomplete. It’s a work in progress. It will take us sometime (since I’m a one woman band). The recipe section is still blank, we are going to work on it as we move on to Phase II.
Here’s how you can help…
To support our cause, please use any of our buying guides when you’re looking for any kitchen equipment. At the moment we are only offering a guide on buying juicers.
