The Kuvings NJE Series is Kuvings’ only horizontal masticating juicer line offered in four color variants—green, white, chrome and silver. For the record, Kuvings’ naming convention or product model numbering is the most confusing among all juicer brands, if ever you bump into the same problem just remember that the all Kuvings juicers with the same two or three letter code are just the same except the colors.
This dual stage single auger masticating juicer is designed for individuals who value quality juice. It extracts delectable juice at 80 RPM, ensuring low levels of oxidation helping the juice retain the maximum number of nutrients and enzymes. If you are looking for a juicer that can perform a variety of functions, then this multi-purpose juicer will meet your needs.
You can effortlessly juice an assortment of items, especially wheatgrass and leafy greens, using the spiral screw that gently grinds whatever you put through the machine. It comes with eight different nozzles that have been designed for making salsa, pasta, sherbet, and much more. Weighing 15 pounds and operating at 170 watts, this powerful motor steadily crushes carrots, almonds, and coffee beans slowly without struggling to finish the job. Even with a heavy-duty motor, it quietly juices your produce. Unlike other juicers, it comes with a dust cover.

Features & Product Details
Is it Easy to Use?
This slow juicer was designed to be simple to operate. The assembly process is easy, taking less than a minute to put everything together. The only thing that is a little different is you need to do is make sure the strainer’s “UP” position is pointing up. Most of your bulky items, like apples, will need to be sliced into smaller pieces that can fit down the 1.5 inch feed chute. Prep all of your items prior to juicing to spend as little time needed to juice your items.
Once you begin juicing, make sure that you do not put too much down the feed chute. If it becomes clogged, press the reverse button a few times to unclog the juicer. Push the forward button after you unclog it. As the produce is crushed and squeezed, the juice is then extracted through the screen. The juice comes out the bottom and the pulp is ejected out the front. If the machine is ever overloaded, the built-in circuit breaker will trip. The reset switch will pop up, which you can find on the bottom of the machine.
Is it Easy to Clean?
Some of the parts are top rack dishwasher safe, however it is highly recommended that you wash the parts by hand for optimal results. The best time to clean the parts to your juicer is immediately after juicing. Disassembling the unit takes little time. Make sure to wash the parts with a mild detergent in warm water. Use the included cleaning brush to remove the remaining pulp from the strainer. The rubber ring from the drum cap needs to be removed while being washed. Ensure that you place the protruding portion facing the front of the drum cap when you finish cleaning it. As soon as you finish rinsing the juicer, dry all of the juicer parts.
As a masticating slow juicing machine it extracts nutritious juice using a two-step extraction process by crushing it with the spiral screw (auger) at only 80 RPM resulting in higher levels of vitamins and enzymes. Then, the pulp is pressed against the mesh screen, pulling more juice from the pulp. The dry pulp is separated from the juice, resulting in freshly squeezed juice. Additionally, the shelf life of the juice is extended as a direct result of lower levels of oxidation. Instead of 24 hours, you can store your juice in a tightly sealed container for up to 72 hours at a time. Even though, it is recommended that you drink your juice close to the time you juice it to absorb the most nutrients, as storing it will result in a slow degradation of the vitamins, enzymes, and overall flavor of the juice. The extracted juice is darker and healthier than juices extracted with a centrifugal juicer.
Not only it can help you make healthy juices, it can also be your one stop kitchen equipment for food processing, homogenizing, pasta making and for grinding coffee beans.
It can be used as a food processor to chop your meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables into fine pieces for any meal you’re planning. This mincing/grinding ability also allows you to prepare ingredients for marinades, salsas, soups, and sauces. Additionally, it can also process soaked rice and beans producing a puree-like consistency.
If you feel like eating healthy frozen desserts, feel free to freeze your juice into ice cubes then let the machine turn it into a cold healthy treat by adding milk, yogurt and other ingredients to your heart’s content. This homogenizer function can also be used to make nut butters and baby food.
The complementary nozzles can be used to make pasta of varying shapes and sizes, you can choose between a round or a flat noodle; better yet you can add some flavor to your pasta to make a Korean style u-dong noodles. Nozzles with larger opening can be used to form bread sticks. The bad news is you still have to prepare your dough.
You can even grind your own coffee beans for a fresh cup of java with this machine. Some coffee beans (especially gourmet coffees) have higher oil content, this have to be dried overnight for easier processing.
What Kinds of Produce Can it Juice?
This juice press can handle all types of produce—soft and hard produce, leafy greens, citrus fruits, beans and nuts.
Hard produce include beets, pepper, cucumber, sweet potato, bitter gourd, pumpkin, turmeric, celery, fennel, carrots, coconut, pineapple, asparagus, yakon, cauliflower, ginger, apple, watermelon, garlic, broccoli, cilantro and pear.
Leafy greens include peppermint, beet greens, spinach, kale, lettuce, brussels sprout, collard greens, parsley, spring onion, cabbage, moringa, basil, romaine lettuce, wheatgrass, pine tree needles and dandelion greens.
Citrus fruits include tangerine, orange, mandarin, lime, lemon and grapefruit.
Soft produce such as papaya, tomato, peach, kiwifruit, melon, mango, grapes, cranberries, strawberry, avocado, blackberry and pomegranate can be turned into a puree using the blank screen.
You can also use this machine for making soy and almond milk.
The Kuvings NJE Series is a highly versatile juicing machine, it can extract juice from all types of produce not to mention that it can also make soy and almond milk. You can also make use of its non-juicing functions when needed. The most important thing is that this machine is a low RPM juicer which excels in juice quality and juice extraction efficiency.
The only downside that I can see is that the parts are not dishwasher safe and the gear is made of a lesser grade plastic which is probably the reason why Kuvings can only support 5 year warranty for this juicer. But here’s a big but… It’s way way cheaper than most of the competing horizontal masticating juicers on the market. If price was a major driving factor for you, then this juicer might be worth checking out.
